UEH Expands Community Access to Sports Facilities

In an effort to promote sports and strengthen community bonds, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) has launched an initiative to share its sports facilities with partners, local communities, and residents. This initiative not only provides a high-quality space for health-focused activities but also reflects UEH's commitment to fostering physical and cultural development within the community.

Recently, the sports complex at UEH's Nguyễn Văn Linh campus has welcomed various partner organizations and social groups for fitness and sports activities. The facility, equipped with modern courts and spaces, meets the standards for a wide range of sports, including soccer, basketball, badminton, and other community fitness activities.

By opening its sports facilities to the community, UEH is not only promoting fitness and health but also nurturing a spirit of friendly and civil engagement in sports. This initiative also facilitates partnerships and engagement with local communities, creating sustainable value for both the university and society.

In 2023, UEH collaborated with business partners, universities, and alumni across the country to organize sports events at the Nguyễn Văn Linh sports complex, including:

A Friendly Soccer Match between UEH and the National Economics University (NEU): This event fostered a lively, competitive atmosphere, strengthening the cooperative relationship between these two top universities.

Scholarship Fundraising Soccer Tournament: Organized in collaboration with partner businesses, this tournament raised funds to support talented young students and assist those facing financial challenges.

Golf Tournament “Swing for Future”: This event brought together alumni and partners through a meaningful sporting activity, raising over 1.2 billion VND in scholarship funds for talented UEH students.

The expansion of UEH's sports facility access has not only bolstered sports initiatives but also enhanced community solidarity and goodwill.
