To provide UEH students with accurate information about reproductive health and related health care services, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) has implemented various initiatives aimed at raising awareness on reproductive health, sexuality education, and access to essential healthcare services.
UEH Department of Student Affairs (DSA) plays a key role in providing psychological counseling to students facing challenges related to age, environmental changes in academics, and other life events. Additionally, DSA offers reproductive health counseling and addresses issues related to sexual harassment for all students, including those in undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs. This service includes receiving and processing information, as well as supporting affected students with resources and care.
To increase accessibility to information, UEH shares monthly gender education updates through the Enew Newsletter, helping students gain insight into reproductive health and sexuality while guiding them to related medical services. Beyond digital communication, UEH collaborates with various partners to organize activities, talks, and programs that give students a well-rounded view on reproductive health, psychological well-being, and sexuality education.
One area of significant student interest has been understanding the beginnings of romantic relationships. On January 23, 2023, the DSA organized the “Science of Love” seminar, where author and lecturer Tuan Le discussed intriguing perspectives on love with over 300 students at Hall B1.302, helping students approach love with curiosity and a healthy mindset for a fulfilling life.
The event was incredibly interesting and engaging, revolving around the theme of love.
In another popular event, “Love Right for Happiness,” held on August 10, 2023, psychological expert Dr. Pham Thi Thuy guided over 1,000 attendees in exploring happiness in love, providing insights and advice on maintaining meaningful relationships. The seminar encouraged open-minded perspectives on love and happiness, drawing significant interest from UEH students.
The event attracted a large number of students who came to explore the themes of happiness and love.
The “First Time Boldly - K.I.S.S.: Knowledge & Insight for Safer Sex” event, organized by the Chuyen To Nho Club and the School of Business Information Technology Union on October 4, 2023, offered students positive and comprehensive insights on safe sex practices. Discussions included strategies for self-protection and ensuring a respectful approach to sexuality.
Experts and students engaged in discussions about issues related to sexual safety.
Through these initiatives, UEH remains committed to supporting students with comprehensive knowledge and resources on reproductive health and sexuality. By equipping them with essential skills, UEH aims to empower students to protect themselves and their loved ones, fostering positive values that love can bring to each individual’s life.
