In 2021, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City(UEH) implemented many admission methods, in particular, adding a new method (method 2) for admission subjects who have graduated from foreign high school programs and have qualified international certificates, open more opportunities for candidates to study at UEH.
According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Khac Quoc Bao- Head of UEH Training Department said: "Due to international traffic restrictions and uncertainties caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the learning choices and decisions of students who have graduated from foreign high school programs will surely change. Therefore, UEH has added method 02 to diversify the methods and subjects of admission, increasing the opportunities to study at UEH for those who love and need. This admission method is the companion of UEH to the community and society to help learners be interrupted and negatively affect their academic careers.
Moreover, with the trend of internationalization, step by step multidisciplinary training, UEH is the appropriate choice for students who have completed high school programs abroad but for some reason (Covid-19, change the study plan, living, etc) now want to choose domestic universities to continue their academic careers. With various training programs and especially high-quality bachelor's programs in English, international affiliate programs will ensure the needs of multicultural experience towards global citizens of students in the trend of integration and increasing internationalization of the labor market today.

Some questions candidates are interested in this method of admission with the answer of Prof. Dr. Nguyen Khac Quoc Bao - Head of UEH Training Department:
Q: How does "foreign high school" define? Can the school provide more specific information to this group of enrollees?
A: This admission method is aimed at students who are studying foreign high school programs in international schools in Vietnam (according to the list recognized by the Ministry of Education and Training) or students who have studied high school abroad now want to enter UEH to continue its learning path.
Q: Some foreign high schools (often called international high schools) will not have transcripts and records commonly seen under the Regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, can the school clearly inform how to apply this method?
A: It is expected that students who have graduated from foreign high school programs and have international certificates are eligible for admissions such as International Baccalaureate certificate, A-Level certificate of Cambridge University Examination Center, The United Kingdom (Cambridge International Examinations A-Level, UK), BTEC (Business & Technical Education Council), Level 3 Extended Diploma and other international certificates such as IELTS, TOEFL iBT, SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test, USA) and ACT (American College Testing) with specific conditions and scores that the university will clearly announce in the upcoming admissions scheme.
Q: At UEH, which program will be suitable for foreign high school students (often called international high schools)?
A: Successful students will have the opportunity to select a wide range of disciplines and majors at UEH including Standard Program, High-Quality Bachelor Program, Bachelor of Talent Program and Affiliate Program.
However, we still believe that with the advantage of English, the choice of study programs entirely in English or group of international affiliate programs such as victoria of Wellington University (VUW) affiliate program with 1.5 years studying in Vietnam and 1.5 years studying in New Zealand or The University of Western Sydney Joint Program (WSU) with 2 years of study in Vietnam and 1 year studying in Australia will be appropriate and promote the strengths of students in this subject.
