Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh - Member of the Party Central Executive Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security Ministry, shared the topic "Science of systematic thinking in leading, managing and ensuring economic security in the context of the impact of the 4th Industrial Revolution in Vietnam nowadays”. System thinking emphasizes the relationship among parts of a system, which is applied in almost all areas such as in building a development strategy and policy for a nation, a locality, an industry, an organization, a business, or in public administration.
The essence of the application of system thinking in management is the ability to identify leverage points and modes of impact. “We often make mistakes: To achieve great results, we must invest in great efforts and risk. The best results do not come from large-scale efforts but small and in-place actions.”
In addition, the Deputy Minister also shared the initiative on responding to the challenges of non-traditional security in the fourth industrial revolution (4.0); building a circulating economic ecosystem model to meet the requirements of the 4th Industrial Revolution (4.0).
The fourth industrial revolution has promoted the world economy to shift to a knowledge-based economy - smart production, which "fades" the nature among industry, service and agriculture. This revolution also affects consumption, production and prices, and positively impacts global inflation. The world economy has entered a growth period mainly based on technological dynamics and innovation, instead of traditional inputs. In particular, a wave of new and high technology will increase high-tech crimes with transnational influence, so the state management system needs to receive effective support that is flexible enough in order to manage and cooperate with businesses and sectors of society.
