EEPSEA Shares In-depth Insights on Comprehensive Carbon Transition at ADB Meeting
Four researchers from the Southeast Asian Network for Environmental Economics (EEPSEA) participated in a special session on at the 56th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The session was held to promote dialogue and knowledge-sharing among researchers, policymakers, and practitioners.
The event featured lively discussions from researchers from the Southeast Asia Economic and Environmental Partnership.
EfD Environmental Researchers Share Expertise on Green Growth with Leaders of Dong Nai Province
from Environment for Development (EfD) and the Southeast Asian Network for Environmental Economics (EEPSEA) shared their expertise at a capacity-building workshop for local government officials in Dong Nai Province, one of Vietnam's leading industrial areas. The training program, organized by UEH, the home of both EEPSEA and EfD-Vietnam, focused on strategies for green growth and sustainable development.

EfD Vietnam Leads Carbon Market Policy Research for Ho Chi Minh City
EfD Vietnam has recently played a key role in the dialogue on the carbon market in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam's largest marketplace. The research team with local stakeholders, prepared a policy report and organized a policy dialogue to explore the impacts of the carbon market on the city. Through this process, they presented findings and proposed policy improvements to address the potential challenges within the existing framework.

EfD Co-organizes Training Workshop on Circular Economy Policy for Southern Vietnam
, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, organized a policy training workshop on circular economy. The training aimed to equip local officials from various southern provinces with the knowledge and skills to implement circular economy principles at the local level.
The seminar was attended by many delegates and attendees.
Insights from the Green Growth Workshop in Vietnam
How has the Sustainable Development Drive paid the price for Vietnam's economic growth? And what lies ahead? These were among the key issues discussed at the in Ho Chi Minh City, co-organized by EfD Vietnam, the World Bank, and UEH. The workshop, participated by over 50 participants both in person and online, aims to promote sustainable economic growth in Vietnam by sharing valuable insights and fostering collaboration.

UEH Accompanies the Development of Khanh Hoa Province in the New Era
On the morning of April 2, 2023, the leadership of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) participated in the announcement conference of the planning and investment promotion activities of Khanh Hoa Province for 2023. At the event, UEH also officially signed a cooperation agreement with the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa Province for the period 2023-2028. Under the agreement, UEH will collaborate with the province in providing consultation and critical feedback on programs, policies, and socio-economic development plans of Khanh Hoa, both on an annual and five-year basis.

Scientific Workshop on Establishing a National Research Center for Ocean Technology
On December 9, 2023, in Nha Trang City, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) coordinated with the Khanh Hoa Department of Science and Technology to organize the first scientific workshop on the establishment of a National Research Center for Ocean Technology. During the workshop, participants focused on analyzing and evaluating theoretical, political, legal, and practical foundations, as well as international experiences in ocean technology research. They also contributed and shared opinions on defining the vision, mission, core values, key research areas, main development pillars, financial mechanisms, co-creation platforms, and the organizational structure of the National Research Center for Ocean Technology. This collaborative effort will help UEH’s research team refine and finalize the proposal, ensuring it meets quality standards and is ready for submission to the Prime Minister in April 2024.
