Joining the national atmosphere of the new school year, on the morning of September 6, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) officially welcomed new K49 full-time students to complete admission procedures. "The Next UEH Gen: Smart and Green" would officially begin.

The full-time admission season in 2023 has taken place successfully with thousands of excellent candidates being eligible and becoming new students at the University of Economics of Ho Chi Minh City - one of the country's leading key public Universities.

Right from the early morning of September 6, 2023, hundreds of new students and parents were present at Campus A (59C Nguyen Dinh Chieu, Ho Chi Minh City) and UEH - Vinh Long Campus (1B Nguyen Trung Truc, Vinh Long) to perform the admission procedures. The atmosphere became more bustling than ever with the excitement, pride and surprises of the students officially being members of the UEH family.

Nguyen Hoang Phung - a New K49 student majoring in Tourism and Travel Management - shared: “I am very happy and proud to be admitted to UEH because it is one of the most prestigious universities in the country. In the upcoming years, I aim to join the school's clubs so as to become more active and make the learning process more meaningful. Besides, I hope to receive a scholarship from UEH."

Also. in a joyful mood, Tong Phu Thinh - K49 new student, majoring in Corporate Accounting - shared: “I feel that the atmosphere at the school today is quite vibrant and bustling. I have set a goal to achieve excellent grades this school year. I enrolled in UEH Vinh Long Campus because the school has modern equipment and professional teaching faculty. I hope all classmates and I will successfully complete four years of college and get good jobs right after graduation.”

On the occasion of admission to K49, I wish all students always keep their own identity as well as have a lot of confidence to be able to explore the opportunities at UEH and the opportunities that UEH's community bring you.”

The convenient and efficient admission procedure

In order to help new students and parents complete the admission process quickly and conveniently, UEH has developed a scientific admission process. Before the day of in-person admission, new K49 students made an online declaration on the UEH Counseling Portal and printed the information sheet at home, which takes less time than filling out manually at school. At the same time, they have participated in the series of Online Admission Counseling Program: "Design Your Future From Day One" - an online space to support new students of K49 to enroll online and to learn information about tuition, scholarships, study credits, and financial support for students; understand the study program options (Full English, Partial English, Standard) and participate in the Pre-welcome program of the Schools/Institutes, Vinh Long Campus. Besides, the new students experienced the University's facilities through the 360-degree virtual reality space - UEH Virtual Tour, in the function: "Visit UEH".

In particular, on the day of in-person admission at the campus, UEH built a plan and arranged instructions according to a clear, scientific process, informed and instructed in many locations to create the most favorable conditions for new students. Specifically, at Campus A:

- The Ground floor includes: Consulting area for international programs; The DSA area advising on scholarships, study credits, and souvenirs; Dormitory registration area; Accommodation information area; PE uniform area; The business booth accompanying students with the Study Credit program at UEH in 2 forms: Tuition Loan Program and Tuition Installment Program via credit cards (a program run by UEH in cooperation with OCB, HDBank, Eximbank, Sacombank, with the goal of creating advantageous conditions for learners to borrow with the lowest interest rates, simple procedures, diversifying banking products and limiting risks). A special feature of the loan program is that UEH will guarantee the principal debt and support the payment of loan interest/conversion fee in 0% interest installments for students participating in the loan program.

- The 1^st floor includes: Consulting area for Full English, Partial English, Talented, Asean Co-op undergraduate programs; an area receiving application receipts and admission notices; Document processing area; Application submission area; Computer area for students who have not yet completed the online admission confirmation procedure; Tuition payment area, etc.

In addition, there is an exhibition area for UEH Green Campus Practice Regulations, and a check-in area - "UEH First Checkpoint" for new students and their families to save meaningful memories on their new journey at UEH.

In order to best support new students and their parents, hundreds of UEH staff and volunteers have been mobilized to guide the implementation of admission procedures, ensuring that new students are answered enthusiastically full of regulations, procedures, and admission documents, thereby, creating a secure sense for parents and new students to complete the procedures quickly and conveniently.

Anh Thu - K49 new student majoring in Tourism and Travel Management - shared: “I feel that the admission process today is very quick and convenient. I received a lot of help from the volunteers and teachers. Although my records and papers have many errors needed to be corrected, with the support of the teachers, I completed the editing of the documents very quickly."

Parents of Bao Tran - K49 new student majoring in Business Statistics - stated: “Today, I brought my child to do the admission procedures, first of all, I found the students here very cute and welcoming. They was very enthusiastic and guiding me and my son carefully from submitting the application, reviewing the application, to tuition payment, making me very satisfied.”
