The Press Conference introduces "Vietnam Economic Prospects 2014" and the UEH’s new programs

The Opening Ceremony of "Ph.D. in Economics and Master of Public Administration (MPA)"

The University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City organized a grand opening ceremony of Ph.D. program in Economics and MPA programs on 19th April 2014 at the UEH main campus. Participants include the UEH’s President Prof. Nguyen Dong Phong; the UEH’s Vice Presidents, Dean and Vice Dean of the UEH faculties, institutions, as well as 30 Ph.D. candidates and 192 postgraduate students. According to Prof. Nguyen Dong Phong, there are few universities in Viet Nam providing courses in Public Administration, Public Policy and Public Finance, hence as a key university in Viet Nam, the UEH has a responsibility to contribute in the development of local government staffs.

Introduction of "Viet Nam Economic Prospects 2014: Institutions and Transparency"

The UEH introduced new publication "Viet Nam Economics's Prospects 2014: Institution and Transparency", this is a new pubilication and different from the previous prints. The questions here are: Where was this book from? How did people make it? What are its main content and highlights? How would they do that?

UEH honorable welcome Hon Steven Joyce - Minister for Tertiary Education, Skills and Employment of New Zealand

On the occasion of the visit to Vietnam, in the afternoon March 19th 2014, UEH, the Victoria University of Wellington and the New Zealand Embassy in Vietnam honorable welcome Hon Steven Joyce - Minister for Tertiary Education, Skills and Employment of New Zealand.

Meeting with the delegation of University of Incheon (South Korea)

In the framework of cooperation between the UEH and the National University of Incheon (South Korea), in the morning February 12th 2014, the delegation of University of Incheon including 12 professors and members visited UEH. Leader of the delegation was Prof. Gyeong Hwan Lim. Regarding to UEH delegation, there had Prof. Dr. Nguyen Trong Hoai - Vice President, Mr. Tran Mai Dong - Deputy Head of International relations department, Mr. Huynh Van Duc - Vice Dean of Business Informative System Faculty, Mr. Bui My Ngoc - Director of Centre for Foreign Language and others UEH executives.

Meeting with representatives delegation of Bosch Group (Germany)

In morning February 12th 2014, at UEH, there had a meeting with representatives delegation of Bosch Group (Germany). Leading of the delegation was Mr. Claus Von Scheliha - Head of Corporate Financial Accounting, Bosch Group. In the group, there had also including country representatives members of company's financial sector such as Germany, China, India and Vietnam.

US Secretary of State John Kerry mets with FEPT for an exchange of view

In December 14, 2013, in framework of the first visiting to Vietnam, as an US Secretary of State, Mr. John Kerry had a meeting for a view exchange with FETP at Diamond Plaza. Presence at the meeting were Mr. David B. Shear – US Ambassador in Vietnam; Ms. Rena Bitter – US Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City; Mr. T. Vallely– Former Director and Mr. B. Wilkinson – Director of Vietnam Program at Harvard University; Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dong Phong – President of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), Head of FETP Executive Board; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thanh – Director of FETP; and some lecturers and FETP alumni.

Grand opening the UEH reception hall

In afternoon, November 27th 2013, at the lobby floor of campus A, 59C Nguyen Dinh Chieu st., the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City - UEH has officially opened the reception hall. This hall will serve UEH staff, employees and its customers when coming to work with the university.
