KEB Hana Bank awarding 25 scholarships to students of University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH)

On the morning of January 5, 2024, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) cooperated with KEB Hana Bank (Korea) to organize the "KEB Hana Bank Scholarship Awarding Ceremony 2023" for 25 students who have difficult circumstances but always strive to overcome difficulties and excel in their studies and life. This scholarship was an incentive for each student's tireless efforts.

KEB Hana Bank Scholarship is sponsored by KEB Hana Bank and HANA Nanum Foundation of Korea. In recent years, the KEB Hana Scholarship Fund has organized many meaningful humanitarian activities, awarded scholarships and provided materials to Vietnamese students who are in difficult circumstances but still overcome difficulties and achieve good study results.

Attending the ceremony, on behalf of KEB Hana Bank City, Ho Chi Minh City branch, were Mr. Cho SukMin - Senior Director of KEB Hana Bank; Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Cuc - Human Resources Director and Ms. La Thi Kim Tho - Human Resources Specialist of the Bank. On behalf of UEH side, there was the presence of Mr. Nguyen Van Duong - Head of Department of Students Affairs and 25 students receiving the scholarships.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Duong - Head of the Department of Students Affairs - expressed his gratitude for the Bank's contributions and support to students who have made efforts to overcome all difficulties and challenges to study well. Accordingly, the scholarship became a source of motivation for many students to strive to study and to practice so that they, in the near future, will become citizens with the knowledge, skills and good attitudes to contribute to the sustainable development of businesses and the country.

Mr. Cho SukMin - Senior Director of KEB Hana Bank - expressed his honor to be present at UEH in the solemn ceremony. Mr. Cho SukMin stated that the Foundation this year had sponsored approximately 100,000 USD for 250 Vietnamese students. He hoped that the value of each scholarship could support students in realizing their dreams. KEB Hana Bank Representative awarded scholarships to 25 UEH students with a total of 10,000 USD. Each scholarship worth 400 USD would help the students partly overcome the challenges on their road ahead.

In addition to the scholarship program, KEB Hana Bank always creates many interview and job opportunities for outstanding UEH students after graduation so that they can express themselves as banking experts and be trained for comprehensive development, which is one of the main criteria of the cooperation relationship between UEH and KEB Hana.

Continuing the ceremony, Mr. Cho SukMin and Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Cuc - Representatives of KEB Hana Bank, Ho Chi Minh City Branch - awarded scholarships to 25 UEH students. Each scholarship was worth 400 USD/student and the total value of 25 scholarships was 10,000 USD.

To express deep gratitude to the sponsors of the KEB Hana Scholarship Fund, Nguyen Thi Binh Minh represented 25 UEH students receiving the KEB Hana Bank 2023 scholarship to send words of gratitude to the School as well as KEB Hana Bank for giving them deep attention by awarding these scholarships. This brought great spiritual values and was a source of encouragement for students to continue their learning journey and efforts for the future. As for herself, this scholarship could be considered one of the greatest achievements for her to finish 2023 and continue her journey in 2024.
