Speaker 1: Prof Shams Rahman
Shams Rahman is a Professor at RMIT University (Australia), who in 2021 has been recognized among the world’s top 2% scholars. He is an Associate Editor of the International Journal of Information Systems and Supply Chain Management and on the editorial board of fifteen international journals. Professor Rahman has published over 245 research papers and served as a Guest Editor for several top-ranked journals.
Speaker 2: Associate Professor Vinh Thai
Associate Professor Vinh Thai is Associate Editor of the Asian Journal of Shipping and Logistics. In 2021, he was listed in the world’s top 2% of scholars, and ranked 172th in the list of 23,751 scholars in the discipline of transport and logistics worldwide, according to a recently released bibliometric report by Elsevier. He has published more than 140 international peer-reviewed journal articles and conference papers, and several book chapters, in leading academic journals.
Summary
As the business environment continues to evolve, the supply chain and logistics sector face numerous challenges. To face these challenges well-trained, skilled and competent logistics and supply chain professionals are essential. The aim of this webinar is to present Vietnamese industry professionals, scholars, and students with logistics and supply chain competency development fundamentals so that a comprehensive understanding of competency capability can be established. Key findings of the recently released Logistics Skills Forecast 2021-2023 will also be presented.
