- To coordinate with related units in conducting research for identifying the social needs, as the foundation for consulting UEH President to develop a strategy for graduate training development in terms of the direction of gradually increasing the enrollment size and meeting the required graduation standards in accordance with regional and international standards at the graduate training level.
- To manage the graduate training programs at UEH-affiliated Units.
- To organize the implementation of linkage and training support among UEH University and the localities and with domestic and international advanced education institutions in terms of graduate training.
- To develop and to exploit joint programs, cooperation projects in graduate training effectively and to foster academic exchange activities with domestic and foreign graduate institutions. To expand foreign relations on graduate training in accordance with UEH regulations.
- To implement graduate enrollment: Developing enrollment plans; Coordinating with UEH Department of Human Resources in determining enrollment quotas, enrollment counseling, exam preparation, enrollment and admission. To coordinate with UEH Department of Marketing-Communication, UEH Department of Student Affairs in consulting and communicating enrollment annually.
- To organize management and publication of study results of graduate students, doctoral students. To store original transcripts, original records, lists and scientific resumes and student lists as required.
- To process academics, to arrange class schedules, to register courses. To organize recruitment; to reserve enrollment results and other reservations; to accept transferring courses, transferring systems, transferring schools, studying abroad.
- To be the focal point for management and issuance regarding diplomas and certificates of graduate training. To verify and to issue diplomas copies (in Vietnamese, English medium). To coordinate with relevant units to issue student cards, student certificates, certificates of academic results (Vietnamese, English) and other documents to students under the authority of the unit.
- To be the focal point for performing the work: Rewarding and disciplining students.
- To coordinate with UEH Department of Scheduling-Testing in organizing the exam, marking the exam, managing the original scores of the entrance exam, the final exam and the graduation exam, the foreign language test in accordance with the plan; To develop, to organize and to manage training plans for students.
- To receive and to process all kinds of letters, dossiers and documents related to training mission.
- To take main responsibility and to coordinate with UEH-related Units to organize UEH Opening ceremony and Graduation ceremony at graduate level.
- To propose the establishment of Academic Councils in terms of Master thesis and Doctoral dissertation defenses. To consult UEH president in terms of the expertise field regarding the conclusions of Doctoral Thesis Review Boards at Department-level, before requesting permission for this PhD student to officially defend his/her Doctoral dissertation at Final UEH University-level.
- To organize scientific research activities, scientific seminars, surveys and so on to assist the learning, the fostering, the exchange and the research of UEH students and researchers. To maximize funding sources for scientific research activities; to mobilize resources to participate in scientific research from student community.
- To research and to advise on socio-economic development policies and state management for localities; development and management strategies for businesses. To provide scientific services for localities and businesses, including: survey consultancy, survey conduct, social and economic development and business researches.
- To be the focal point for implementing and organizing the implementation of graduate human resource training activities and projects from the State budget; Pre-Doctoral training scheme; courses to foster knowledge of economics, management, business administration and law, serving the learners’ needs. To be the focal point for rewarding and disciplining graduate students.
- To be in charge of foreign student management. To coordinate with UEH Units to settle regimes and policies promptly for foreign students. To supervise graduate training programs that have international links.
- To carry out general work on graduate training and retraining activities; To present statistics and reports at the request of UEH Leaders timely.
- To preside the development of regulations, processes and regulations related to the field of training and graduate qualification enhancement.
- To coordinate with UEH functional units to perform additional tasks arising during the UEH’s operation.
- To manage human resources, facilities and assigned means and equipment effectively.
- To perform other tasks assigned by UEH President
