The Visiting Personnel program aims to extend specified courtesy titles and privileges to scholars of distinction who visit UEH in order to engage in research and scholarship, and in general scholarly and cultural interaction with our faculty and students. This is to acquaint students at home at UEH with international academic content and methods, with the purpose of forging exchange opportunities and points of contact for future cooperation activities while strengthening ongoing partnerships.

Qualified candidates are expected to have achieved a PhD Degree from one of the Top 500 Best Universities in the world (according to World QS-ranking), and can meet one of the following criteria, at time of application: | |
At least one (1) published article in any internationally-indexed journals AND two (2) articles in nationally-recognized journals in the last 3 years at time of application; | |
At least two (2) published articles in any internationally-indexed journals in the last 3 years at time of application; | |
At least 10 years of teaching experience at local and international universities that are similar in range with UEH |

1. Leaves | |
Annual leaves and leaves according to the Labor Code of Vietnam; | |
2. Insurance | |
Will be paid Social Insurance, Health Insurance and Unemployment Insurance in accordance with the existing Vietnamese rules and regulations. | |
Will be entitled to all-expense paid annual Health Insurance by UEH. Additionally, the employee could also register for dependents (including family members such as spouse(s)/children, etc.) on their insurance package (self-paid). | |
3. Healthcare | |
Will be entitled to a once (1) a year annual health check-up organized by UEH at local reputable medical facilities. Female employees are allowed check-ups twice (2) a year; | |
4. Training | |
For all employees/lecturers/researchers: Will be financially supported by UEH on training needs, including but not limited to skills training and enhancement to satisfy all necessary requirement of current role. | |
For all employees/lecturers/researchers assigned to conduct theirs studies abroad: Will be exempted from/reduced in standard hours and/or number of scientific research. | |
For PhD candidates/graduates: Will be rewarded when completing their PhD candidacy/program(s) before or on time as initially indicated | |
5. Compensation & Benefits | |
To be considered for early periodic salary and/or level increase in accordance with Vietnamese rules and regulations when the employee’s outstanding performance is declared & confirmed; | |
To be entitled to additional compensation from UEH in accordance with fair and equitable judgement of workload, tenure, level of experience/expertise, performance evaluations, etc; | |
To be entitled to all benefits and bonuses in accordance with Vietnamese rules and regulations, including but not limited to: tenure, experience/responsibilities, meal, transportation, uniform, etc., amounting to 16,000,000 VND / year. New-hires/new employees under probationary period will be entitled to probationary lecturers’ allowances amounting to 9,600,000 VND / year; | |
6. Rewards, Bonuses, Incentives | |
To be entitled to 14 types of incentives on all national holidays, amounting to 21,000,000 VND / year (in accordance with UEH’s existing policies). This amount will be adjusted annually to fit with the University’s actual performance; | |
UEH is to implement transparent, fair and equitable distribution of benefits/bonuses/incentives based on annual performance evaluations for all employees in accordance with Vietnamese current Labor Code, rules and regulations. Additionally, UEH will also implement recognition and rewards in-house per UEH’s policies; | |
UEH is to utilize proper benefit schemes and structures to attract new and highly-qualified personnel, reputable researchers locally and internationally, as well as other incentive policies to encourage international research and publications. |

Will be entitled to the similar benefit packages offered to a Lecturer position, including but not limited to leaves, insurance, healthcare, training and other benefits, bonuses and allowances. Additionally, junior and senior/tenured researchers will be provided seed funding from 50 - 100 million/person (the specific amount will be determined by the Admissions Committee through evaluating each candidate’s application). | |
Expected income is approximately 30-35 million (monthly average), including but not limited to: state-regulated compensation, UEH’s income, benefits, allowance, Tet incentives, monthly advances for the registration of internationally published articles. |

To guide and advise research students in accordance with the suggestions from the Department of Research Management and International Relations; | |
To participate in carrying out the ranking and evaluation surveys for UEH when invited; | |
To participate in all scientific research activities in accordance with the suggestions of relevant departments and of the Department of Research Management and International Relations. |
