On August 16, 2021, The University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) officially signed the academic cooperation with The University of Auckland (the UoA), New Zealand.
According to the signed agreements, the Institute of Smart City Management (ISCM) of UEH and the Faculty of Creative Arts and Industries of the UoA will officially collaborate in education and training, exchange professors – students, materials in teaching – researching and joint research. Therein, the first cooperation is the implementation of the dual-degree university program for the Bachelor of Architectural and Urban Design inclusive Smart City (BAUD) of UEH and the Bachelor of Architectural Studies (BAS) of the UoA, New Zealand. The program is scheduled to begin in September 2021. Students will spend 1.5 years at UEH, be eligible to study at UoA within two years, and will complete 0.5 years of internships and graduation projects in Vietnam or New Zealand (selected by students and approved by UEH). Students who successfully complete the program and are eligible to graduate will earn two Bachelor's Degrees from UEH and the UoA. Exchanges and cooperation in education and other research will be conducted in parallel.

Simultaneously, the signing also promotes the enhancement of training quality on the basis of exchanging information, documents and scientific research participation of the two institutions."
