UEH's gender-equal recruitment policy and welfare regime

UEH promotes an inclusive culture and values diversity by supporting and encouraging all under-represented groups. The university hires, promotes, and recruits employees based on individual merit, regardless of gender, age, color, marital status, ethnic origin, race, religion, sexual orientation, culture, beliefs, or social background. Specifically, UEH follows the on Gender Equality of Government, in which, men and women are treated equally at the workplace in terms of employment, pay, bonuses, social insurance, labor conditions, and other working circumstances. 
 
The university's commitment to a workplace free of sexual harassment and discrimination of any kind. Clause 3, Clause 6, Article 7 of UEH Code of Conduct stipulates "Respecting the principle of non-discrimination on race, gender, class, belief, religion, disability", "No harassment of others under any circumstances". UEHers are required to:
  1. Voluntarily comply with UEH's regulations, rules and regulations in performing duties;
  2. Be transparent, honest, and exemplary in ethics and lifestyle; respect and protect UEH's reputation; do not arbitrarily speak or provide UEH's information or documents without proper authority;

  7. Do not advertise, solicit, solicit, buy, sell, or exchange goods or services of a business nature during working hours as prescribed.
  8. Attend all meetings and conferences to which you are invited; arrive on time, do not use mobile phones or do personal work, and do not leave before the end of the meeting or conference.

In addition, UEH strictly complies with the State's regulations on the following prohibited acts in the field of labor as stipulated in . Employees at UEH are guaranteed:

  4. No taking advantage of the name of vocational training, vocational training to profit, exploit labor or entice, entice, force apprentices, vocational trainees into illegal activities.

  6. Beside that, UEH commits not to recruit anyone under 18 years old. The maximum working hour is 08 hours per day, 40 hours per week; overtime shall not exceed 50% of the normal working time. The salary of the lecturer and staff in UEH is regulated by fair policies according to degree, work experience, position. There is no difference in treatment based on gender or sexual orientation. At UEH, salaries are aggregated, tracked and measured regularly to ensure no unfairness or irregularities occur. UEH fulfills its commitment to pay UEH staff and lecturers at least the minimum regional wage. In addition to income from salaries according to the State's salary scale, UEH employees enjoy additional UEH income that ensures total income is higher than the regional minimum wage and the standard of living in Ho Chi Minh City.
 
In addition, UEH implements a number of support policies on accommodations for employees to work with peace of mind. Specifically, UEH Hotel is a "Knowledge Hotel" with many amenities serving and supporting experts, scientists, and lecturers staying during their work. In order to create favorable conditions for scientists, researchers, lecturers, and students, UEH Hotel offers many preferential policies to serve the activities of these subjects:
  1. Support 100% of accommodation costs for employees, lecturers, and working delegations of UEH Branches when on business trips to Ho Chi Minh City;
  2. Support 20% of accommodation costs for employees, workers, and students of UEH when staying to study and conduct scientific research.
UEH Branch in Vinh Long similarly supports housing policies for civil servants. UEH arranges dormitories for civil servants and employees working at the Branch. Here, it provides full facilities for civil servants and employees to work, rest, study and research. In addition, the dormitory is geographically close to the teaching and working facilities of the Branch, helping civil servants and employees save on travel costs, while minimizing personal vehicles, contributing to communicating the message of environmental protection. At the same time, for civil servants and employees who need to stay at other locations besides the dormitory, UEH Vinh Long branch supports accommodation costs of 1,500,000 VND/month for each civil servant and employee, with the aim of supporting and motivating civil servants and employees to work with peace of mind.
