UEH Vinh Long Campus Organizing the Knowledge Training Program titled “Innovative Star-up” for High School Pupils in Vinh Long Province

On the morning of 26^th March 2022, Vinh Long Campus, a campus of University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City in Vinh Long Province (UEH-VLC), coordinated with UEH Institute of Innovation (UII) affiliated to UEH College of Technology and Design, Department of Education and Training, Young Entrepreneur Associations of Vinh Long to organize the Knowledge Training Program “Innovative Star-up” for high school pupils in Vinh Long Province. This is one of the coordination programs between Vinh Long Department of Education and Training and UEH to implement a Community Project in terms of applying digital transformation in Vinh Long education.

Attending the training session was the presence of Doctor Bui Quang Hung - Vice President of UEH and Director of Vinh Long Campus, Master Nguyen Thi Thy Lieu - Permanent Deputy Director of Vinh Long Campus. Representing guests were the appearances of Mr. Nguyen Tuong Nam - Chairman of Vinh Long Young Entrepreneur Association; Mr. Tran Thanh Hoang - Vice Chairman of Vinh Long Young Entrepreneur Association; Mr. Mai Thanh Ho - Chief of Vinh Long Youth Union Office and representatives of Heads of Vinh Long Department of Education and Training, Department of Planning and Investment, and the attendance of Master Vuong Khiet - Director of UII Incubator and Master Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao - CEO of UII. Especially, this training session engaged the attention of 250 pupils from a range of high schools in Vinh Long province including Luu Van Liet, Nguyen Thong, Vinh Long, Trung Vuong, and Pham Hung High School.

Opening the session, Master Nguyen Thi Thy Lieu emphasized the practical meaning of these actions which help the pupils enrich their start-up knowledge and hold the vital role of digital technology application in innovation.

At the opening of the training program, Nguyen Tuong Nam - Chairman of Vinh Long Young Entrepreneur Association reasserted the importance of this program following the objectives of Vinh Long People’s Committee in developing local start-up innovation.

Within the framework of the training session, the Board of Organizing of UEH Institute of Innovation affiliated to the UEH College of Business implemented related knowledge including The importance of start-up and innovation to youth; The formation and development of an innovative idea; The inspiration, orientation and nurture for start-up innovation spirits for pupils.

A great number of interesting questions are asked by the pupils to interact with the speakers of the program. They are trying to make inquiries related to start-up innovation and how to start a successful business and suggestions for their choices of career paths to start up effectively in the future.

Besides, pupils received gifts from UEH Institute of Innovation with excellent questions and answers. Vinh Long Young Entrepreneur Association also gave 10 presents to those who attended a lucky draw program, which contributed to the exciting and ebullient atmosphere during the training session.
