Within the plan of advancing the quality of operation and attracting international human resources to attend research activities and knowledge transfer, on May 09th, UEH Institute of Innovation (UII) received 03 international students interning within the framework of the Global Innovation Immersion (GII) program, affiliated with Singapore Management University (SMU). This is the first international student exchange program implemented at UII and the partner SMU, which contributed to the mission of international integration of the University.
Attending the welcome ceremony of 03 students from SMU, UII honorably received the participation of Assoc. Prof. Dr Phan Thi Bich Nguyet - Chairwoman of the UEH Policy and Strategy Advisory Board and Director of the Institute of Innovation, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Khac Quoc Bao - Deputy Head of UEH College of Technology and Design (CTD-UEH), Master Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao - Head of the General Department of CTD, CEO of the Institute of Innovation, Dr. Pham Duong Phuong Thao - Deputy Head of Department of Research Management - International Relations, Master Tran Nhat Hoang Deputy Standing Secretary of the University Union, President of the University Student Association, Master Vuong Khiet - Director of the UII Innovative Startup Incubation Program.

Delivering a speech to the interns, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Khac Quoc Bao - Deputy Head of CTD-UEH solemnly showed his greetings and affirmed: “UEH will facilitate the best conditions and support during the internship students of SMU. Simultaneously, I do expect that in the next 03 months working at the Institute of Innovation, you will earn more working experience, valuable skills, and intensive knowledge at UEH in particular and Vietnam in general.”

During the internship time at UII, all interns will conduct realistic projects of the institute as well as work directly with startups in the UII Innovative Startup Incubation Program and projects on market research and business development. This is an opportunity for international students to discover the innovative startup environment and the Vietnamese business environment and culture. Besides, the students from Singapore will take part in exchange activities with UEH students to together share with each other their experiences of their study, research, and work.

The international internship program once again affirmed the development targets that go beyond the region and approach the global standards of the Institute of Innovation, which contributed to constructing UEH into a multidisciplinary and sustainable university - a place training global citizens and high caliber human resources for society.
