UEH implementing the process of introducing and appointing the positions of President, Vice President, Dean and Vice Dean of UEH Colleges for the 2020-2025 term

Recently, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) has implemented the process of introducing and appointing the positions of President, Vice President, Dean and Vice Dean of UEH Colleges according to the appointment authority of UEH President for the 2020-2025 term. The work was carried out according to the regulations and guidelines of the Party and the Government.

 

UEH is in the process of implementing a development strategy with the orientation to become a Multidisciplinary and Sustainable University. Therefore, the implementation of the process of appointing the position of President, Vice President, Dean, and Vice Dean of UEH Colleges contributes to perfecting the structure of the management staff of the units under the University for the term 2020-2025 to implement the management and operation of the University in the near future, helping UEH develop strongly according to the set goals.

 

Personnel was introduced from on-site human resources that were approved by the UEH collective leadership and met the standards and conditions for appointment according to the regulations of the Government and UEH, including (1) Capacity, prestige and ethics; (2) Ideological politics; (3) Age; (4) Qualifications; and (5) Work experience.

 

The specific appointments are as follows:

 

  • UEH College of Business (COB): 01 position of President, 01 position of Vice President, 01 position of Dean of School of International Business - Marketing, 01 position of Dean of School of Finance.
  • UEH College of Economics, Law and Government (CELG): 01 position of Rector, 01 position of Dean of Faculty of Economics.
  • UEH College of Technology and Design (CTD): 02 positions of Vice President, 01 position of Dean of School of Information Technology for Business, 01 position of Vice Dean of School of Information Technology for Business.

The process of introducing the appointed personnel was carried out at UEH Colleges

 

The process of introducing personnel for appointment to the positions of President and Vice President of UEH was implemented in 5 steps:

 

  • Step 1: Meeting of collective senior leaders at UEH
  • Step 2: Expanded Leadership meeting of UEH Colleges.
  • Step 3: Meeting of collective leaders of UEH Colleges.
  • Step 4: Conference of key staff of UEH Colleges.
  • Step 5: Meeting of collective leaders of UEH Colleges.

 

 

The process of introducing personnel to the positions of Dean and Vice Dean was implemented in 6 steps:

 

  • Step 1: Meeting of collective senior leaders at UEH
  • Step 2: Expanded Leadership meeting of UEH Schools.
  • Step 3: Meeting of collective leaders of UEH Schools.
  • Step 4: Meeting of officers and employees of UEH Schools.
  • Step 5: Collective meeting of unit leaders.
  • Step 6: Meeting of collective leaders of UEH Colleges.

 

Based on the results of introducing appointed personnel, the President will report to the Party Committee for approval before making the appointment decision according to regulations.

 

UEH is facing a strong development stage with many challenges and tasks. Therefore, the addition of management staff to lead and plan guidelines and policies for the University is extremely important to make UEH a prestigious, multidisciplinary and sustainable university with a high position in the regional and global higher education system.
