UEH attended the kick-off meeting of “Erasmus+ International Capacity Building” project in Italy

From 1st to 2nd February, 2018, the delegation of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) including Pro. Dr. Nguyen Trong Hoai - Vice President and Dr. Nguyen Thi Thuy Linh - Dean of the School of Banking, attended the JEUL Kick-Off meeting in Siena, Italy.

This is an Erasmus+: International Capacity Building project, focusing on Joint Enterprise University Learning. The aim of this project is to establish and develop lasting cooperation among higher education institution and private sector, to influence the way universities work and enable them to learn from the entrepreneurial nature of companies, develop and use case studies based on the experience of companies - enhance their teaching and learning methods and gain an understanding of the needs of enterprises and improve the curricula accordingly. There are 9 partners in this project: five European universities, two Vietnamese universities and two Chinese universities. The total budget is EUR 934,494 for the three-year period, funded by the European Commission. This project started in October 2017 and shall end in October 2020.

UEH is responsible for the Work Package 2 on developing and utilizing case studies in teaching. The School of Banking, will coordinate and be the main beneficiary of this project at UEH. In addition to the seven Work Packages, UEH will also participate in staff and student mobility with other European universities during the period 2018 – 2020.

In the Kick-off meeting, UEH delegates presented UEH programs, structure, teaching and research capacity, with highlights on internationalization, and research-oriented strategies. They also discussed and contributed to the action plan of this project.
