NTUMR Journal has a similar history to that of JABES: being the first issue of NTUMR published in 1990. NTUMR has collaborated with several digital access and publishing organizations to promote academic communication. NTUMR has been indexed in the Taiwan Social Science Citation Index (TSSCI) System since 2006 and joining Scopus, EBSCO, ProQuest, and ESCI systems in 2013. NTUMR Journal digitization progress includes: Online preview articles (since 2013), E-Paper (since 2014), Journal Electronic Journals (since 2016) and online access issues (from August 2018). In recent years, NTUMR has actively organized international seminars (with world-renowned universities) besides interdisciplinary connections and published special digital publications to increase connection with the global science community. These are also the orientations that JABES has been implementing.
At the Workshop, both JABES and NTU Management Review shared and exchanged personal experiences in operating the journal, especially the experience of designing and operating a digital platform (Platform) for NTUMR Journal. These will be the highlights so that JABES can research and adjust our development strategy to be more appropriate in this new period.
The Editor-in-Chief of both JABES and NTU Management Review officially signed an Agreement to exchange experience in journal management and seminars to improve the Journal’s identity with the Asian scholar community. This agreement will help create a strong foundation for JABES and NTUMR to strengthen mutual relationships and strong connections with the academic community; continuing to increase the prestige and rank of the journal in the world’s Top ranking systems; concurrently, attracting numerous quality articles from the global scientific community. Four main agreements are to be concentrated as follows:
(1) Coordinating in organizing international scientific conferences and seminars as co-organizers. In particular, the annual Asian Economic and Business Scientific Conference (ACBES) will have the participation of NTUMR Journal from Taiwan as a co-organizing partner with special conditions listed as reduction in or no-charge registration fees, special sessions, and so on.
(2) Creating favorable conditions for Editors to exchange experiences in editing, publishing, and managing Journals.
(3) Co-invoking proposals or articles in a special journal section (for example: Special issues with new and exciting topics).
(4) Organizing several cooperative exchange activities that allow editorial members from both JABES and NTU Management Review to participate and benefit mutually.
It is in this meeting that JABES officially invited the Editor-in-Chief and members of the Editorial Board of NTUMR Journal to attend the ACBES 2023 Workshop in an online discussion session with the topic: “Roles and responsibilities of the Editorial Board regarding critical management for improving the quality of scientific articles and international networks”.
