The “Joint UEH -UR Post-Graduate Symposium" was a two-day event held on March 30-31, 2023, at the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City. The workshop was sponsored by Universität Regensburg (UR, IREBS) and the College of Economics, Law, and Government (UEH-CELG) to form a hospitable workshop for the latest research ideas and topics between Ph.D. and Master students from both universities.
At the beginning of the event, Assoc. Prof. Pham Khanh Nam from the College of Economics, Law and Government at UEH gave an overview of the College of Economics, Law and Government, including academic programs, faculty members, notable achievements, and strategies beyond a sustainable academic future. The introduction of Prof. Gabriel Lee focused on the International Real Estate Business School about financial and academic support for students and researchers traveling between Vietnam and Germany and the University of Regensburg - the discussion following the introductions engaged in dialogue about the two institutions.

The first day's research presentation session focused on the spatial spillover effect on institutional quality, the resilience analysis of retail visibility networks, and international trade's impact on female employment. The second day's research presentation session included topics such as agglomeration and firm location choice, China's trade balances, and comparing the US and German stock markets.

The event ended with a city cultural tour and a workshop dinner. The cultural tour allowed participants to explore the city and learn more about Vietnamese culture and history. The symposium dinner was a relaxed atmosphere where participants could network with each other and build lasting connections.

Overall, the "Joint UEH -UR Post-Graduate Symposium" was a successful event that providing promoted academic exchange and provided a platform for students to share their research ideas. Besides, the participants could explore the city's culture and history and build lasting connections with their peers worldwide.
