On June 16, 2015, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City in cooperation with the Vietnam-Korea Times (the first Korean language newspaper in Vietnam) held the Commencement of the Program "Training regional CEOs - Vietnam – Course 6" within the framework of the joint training agreements between the two sides.
Present at the ceremony were Korean Consul General in HCMC, Chief Editor of the Vietnam – Korea Times, Chairman of overseas Koreans foundation in HCMC. On the UEH’s side, there was the participation of Nguyen Trong Hoai - Vice President, leaders of Department of Research Administration and International Relations and all the program’s participants, who are executives and senior managers from large Korean enterprises in South Vietnam.
Designed with the purpose of training business skills for Korean entrepreneurs as well as to raise their awareness of Vietnam’s business environment, the program consists of four fields of study including: management knowledge and skills; economic knowledge and economic environment – Vietnam’s laws; Vietnam's cultural knowledge and extracurricular reports of practitioners. The program underwent 5 courses and turned out nearly 200 Korean entrepreneurs. Reportedly, the program has opened enrollment for the next course.
