Recently, the English version of the Journal of Asian Business and Economic Studies (JABES-E) was officially announced by ABDC to be in this category. This was an event that marks another step forward for UEH in general, and JABES's collective and associates in particular for their constant investment and striving efforts in the process of internationalization, improving academic reputation with the community and worldwide and especially opening up opportunities for Australian and New Zealand scholars to publish their research findings in JABES.
Journal of Asian Business and Economic Studies (JABES), affiliated with the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), is a scientific journal in the field of economics and business, including two versions: English version (JABES-E) published four issues/year on the system of Emerald International Publishing House and the Vietnamese version (JABES-V) published 12 issues/year. Research articles submitted to JABES for both editions are peer-reviewed under an online process following international practices to ensure standards and improve the academic quality of published scientific papers.
After JABES was added to the ESCI list of the Web of Science in 2021 and the SCOPUS list in 2022, JABES continued to complete the profile, review and supplement the standards in accordance with ABDC's regulations. The ABDC list includes quality journals with four categories: A*, A, B, C. Journals with A* grade have the best quality, followed by A, B, and finally, C. JABES is the first Vietnamese economic journal to be officially recognized in the ABDC List with classification B.
JABES has applied to ABDC since September 2022. On March 17, 2023, JABES-E was officially announced by ABDC to be included in this list.

In the future, JABES will continue to maintain the rigor of the standards of the entered indexes: ESCI, Scopus, and ABDC. JABES will strive to join broader rankings such as ABS and ERIM in order to contribute to UEH's academic reputation.
Especially in 2023, following the success of 4 seminars from ACBES 2018 to ACBES 2022, with the aim of expanding the network of scholars, enhancing the recognition, improving the quality of academic articles step by step, and firmly prepare the conditions for JABES to participate in the more influential ranking categories, UEH and its affiliated JABES will continue to organize The 5th Asia Conference on Business and Economic Studies (ACBES 2023) on August 16-18, 2023.
