Grand Finale of Vietnam Young Lions 2024

On April 15, 2024, at hall A 116, Vietnam Young Lions in coordination with University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) organized the Grand Finale of the Vietnam Young Lion 2024 with the theme "Vietnam's Creativity Dawns", attracting a large number of interested young people.

Vietnam Young Lions has been the most prestigious young talent competition in Marketing & Communication. Under the copyright of Cannes Lions, the contest honored young talents under 30 years old, with the mission of representing Vietnam in two international arenas: Young Lions (Cannes Lions) and Young Spikes (Spikes Asia). With the theme "Vietnam's Creativity Dawns" in 2024, the contest considered the contestants' talents as sunshine, though flickering but brilliant. The creative field in Vietnam has entered a new era with dynamic young people always looking for inspiration to develop themselves. Thereby, the competition brought a brilliant aura to Vietnam in the international arena.

Attracting the participation of 1,238 members of 619 competing teams, of which were 425 student teams and 194 professional teams (for those who were under 30 years old). Through the competition rounds, the final round was held in a live format, taking place in 3 competition categories: Digital; Marketer; Film & Integrated. Each team's competition takes place within 10 minutes with 2 categories: presentation and Q&A.

The journey to find the brightest gems in Marketing & Communication in Vietnam in 2024 has officially come to an end. After overcoming more than 1,000 fiery warriors, the Top 30 Finalists won official tickets to enter the next round, demonstrating their talent, creativity and bravery in front of leading experts in Marketing & Communication in Vietnam on the Final stage of Vietnam Young Lions 2024.

Overview of the competition final

Speaking at the Final, Associate Professor Bui Quang Hung - Deputy Director of UEH - emphasized "With the message of Unbounded creativity, Empowered futures, Holistic values, at UEH, design thinking and creativity are necessary in every field, not only Marketing, Communication, but also Math, Finance, Data Science or Robotics and AI, etc. Creativity pushes each UEH student, lecturer, and employee forward, helping them take control of their future and gradually develop into the most comprehensive version of themselves. The voice of Communications, Marketing, and Creativity is the voice from different aspects and strata of human social life, inspiring the community. This starts from implicit truths observed with "a sensitive heart" and "a humane mind" of the creative person. I believe that today's VIETNAM YOUNG LIONS - GRAND FINALE is the meeting between those inspirational, sensitive and humane people. The most valuable reward for everyone today is to be able to learn from talented and different individuals"

After hours of heated competition that constantly brought the audience to different levels of emotions, the winning teams in each category were revealed one by one. UEH with 4 students from 3 teams has excellently entered the Top 10 of the two Digital and Marketer categories, of which 2 teams won the Silver and Bronze awards for Students in the Marketers category.

Team TT, including Le Tran Minh Thu and Pham Hiep Tien from ISB - UEH, winning the Silver prize

Team BUDDY, including Truong Nguyen Minh Duy (UEH) and Le Thi Ngoc Anh (FTU), wining the Bronze prize

The final of the Vietnam Young Lions 2024 took place successfully with fiery competitions of 18 teams in 3 categories. The 6 excellent teams winning the Gold and Silver prizes of the Industry Practitioner table would be appointed to represent Vietnam to continue conquering 2 international creative arenas, Young Lions at Cannes Lions and Young Spikes at Spikes Asia to affirm Vietnam's creativity position in the world map.
