Exchange Program Between Colege Of Business UEH And University Of Applied Sciences And Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW)

On April 10, 2023, College of Business UEH and University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW) organized an academic and cultural exchange program within the framework of the exploreASEAN project that aims to provide young talents with excellent opportunities to access the market and establish a professional network in Southeast Asia.
 
On the UEH side, there was the participation of Dr. Dinh Cong Khai – Vice President of UEH, and Dr. Pham Duong Phuong Thao - Vice Head of Department of Research Management & International Relations.
 
On the side of College of Business UEH: Assoc.Prof.Dr. Bui Thanh Trang – Vice Rector of College of Business UEH, Dr. Nguyen Tan Trung – Head of Administration office COB, Dr. Hoang Cuu Long - Vice Dean of School of International Business - Marketing and other lecturers.
 
From the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW): Dr. Teresa L. Freiburghaus - Head of Southeast Asian Studies - Project supervisor of exploreASEAN, Ms. Aysel Ocak, Mr. Bela Ackermann and delegations from exploreASEAN project.
 
 
 
 
Opening the program, Ms. Hoang Thu Hang - lecturer of School of International Business - Marketing presented and shared about sustainable logistics. The concept of sustainable logistics is not limited to reducing environmental impacts, it also involves the economic and social responsibility of the company. The presentation brings a lot of useful knowledge, and a multi-dimensional perspective on sustainable logistics and can achieve corporate social responsibility and improve the overall process.
 
Economic and technological development, as well as the current political situation, are fundamentally changing the energy market, and people need to pay attention to, learn about, and develop renewable energy. Renewable energy is energy derived from natural sources that are replenished at a higher rate than is consumed. Sun and wind. The use and generation of renewable energy also produce lower emissions, and less pollution than non-renewable resources. In addition, today's energy decisions greatly affect current and future generations and therefore should be given the utmost importance when operating within an organization.
 
 
To continue the program, Dr. Nguyen Ba Son - lecturer of Institute of Intelligent and Interactive Technologies (CTD) shared about the trend and development situation of renewable energy in Vietnam, the difficulties in connecting renewable energy power plants with national grid power system, along with green hydrogen production solutions from wind and solar power plants. Dr. Nguyen Ba Son also shared his research on producing hydrogen fuel from water, sunlight, and nano-graphene photocatalyst.
 
 
Next, COB and FHNW students exchanged and shared ideas to promote and contribute to a more sustainable future. The discussion also closed a useful afternoon for all students, as well as marking the first step in the broader cooperation between the university and the exploreASEAN project.
 
 
 
 
 
At the end of the exchange and exchange program, students of COB and FHNW were introduced to Vietnam's culture, thư pháp (calligraphy) and tò he (toy figurine). With skillful and enthusiastic hands, the artisans breathe life into works of art and have a special appeal to students.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
The program took place successfully and contributed to promoting international cooperation and expanding relations and connections. Besides, it also opens up opportunities for international student exchange, exchange of learning experiences and opportunities as well as cultural exchanges and expansion of cooperation. teaching and learning between faculty and students of the two schools.
 
ExploreASEAN project - was launched in 2001 by University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW)  with the mission of building Bridges for Young Talents is the foundation and heart of the project. The project also provides young talents the opportunity to access the ASEAN markets and establish a professional network in Southeast Asia, helping them access markets, establish business networks in Southeast Asia, promote connections between businesses and training institutions, and contribute to strengthening economic cooperation between Switzerland and ASEAN countries.
