Banking – Security Recruitment Day

With the goal of creating a bridge among employers in the fields of Banking, Securities, Finance, Technology, and Real Estate and students, helping students find a place to do business semesters and internship besides opening expanding career opportunities for senior students to find professional jobs right after graduation, on the morning of May 14, the Faculty of Banking, UEH Business School (COB-UEH) solemnly organized Organizing “Banking - Securities Recruitment Day” in 2022.

The Banking - Security Recruitment Day attracted 11 participants, including 6 commercial banks: An Binh Commercial Joint Stock Bank, MB Bank, ACB, Techcombank, SCB, OCB together with 4 securities companies: SSI, VNDIRECT, Mirae Asset, KIS Vietnam and Rever Real estate Technology Company. This event organized the 3 following main activities: Awarding scholarships to excellent students majoring in Banking, Investment Banking, Stock Market; Operating booths in Lobby B1 and Recruitment interview activities at more than 50 interview boards taking place at the same time.

At the opening ceremony of the Festival, Dr. Hoang Hai Yen - Dean of Faculty of Banking - sent the most sincere thank to the employers who accompanied and supported the program: “University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City is a national key public university, our reputation has been confirmed in Vietnam with a prestigious position among educational and training institutions in the region, especially in the economic sector. During the training process, UEH Faculty of Banking in particular and UEH University in general always aspire to connect with businesses to work with UEH to train high-quality human resources for the labor market not only in Vietnam but also in the whole world. UEH invites businesses to participate in UEH’s training program development; to invite business leaders to participate in extracurricular training courses student reports and to organize recruitment activities to foster interview skills for students and businesses. In addition, we organize the enterprise semester for students to practice, apply the knowledge and skills they have learned to apply in practice; and especially organize recruitment activities during the year to strengthen the connection of UEH’s high-quality labor force with enterprises. Therefore, the organization of this Banking - Securities Recruitment Day today is an important event of the Faculty of Banking in particular and UEH in general to help students have opportunities that empower them to take the initiative and to seize the opportunity to have the best job positions at reputable enterprises in the fields of Banking, Securities, Finance, Technology, Real Estate in Vietnam and in Ho Chi Minh City”.

To honor the students from UEH Faculty of Banking with excellent academic and extracurricular achievements, the commercial banks awarded 15 scholarships, each worth 5,000,000 VND to 15 outstanding students; in which, An Binh Commercial Joint Stock Bank awarded 10 scholarships from An Nghiep Fund of An Binh Bank, Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank awarded 5 scholarships to the students with the highest achievements according to the awarding criteria of other banks.

Besides, in terms of the booth activity, the recruitment units brought a lot of fun, youthful games and diverse valuable gifts for students of Faculty of Banking in particular and UEH students in general. While waiting for the interview, the students visited the booth to learn and be consulted related to career opportunities in the fields of banking, securities and real estate technology.

Exciting activities at the business booth

The recruitment interview activity at the festival attracted more than 1,764 registrations for interviews from students from multi-majors (banking, stock market, investment banking, finance, business administration, real estate price appraisal and so on). Interview activities were highly appreciated by all participating units for the organization and quality of the final year students participating. In particular, many students of the Faculty of Banking have been informed by recruitment agencies of their admission results right after the interview is over.

The Banking - Security Recruitment Day organized by UEH Faculty of Banking took place successfully and was highly appreciated by the employers and students who attended. This is absolutely an activity that brings a lot of values to students and employers and is a testament to the commitment to accompany learners of UEH Faculty of Banking in particular and UEH University in general. With the success and meaning achieved, this Banking - Securities Recruitment Day is expected to be held annually in May.
