Commercial English program in English language major. The Bachelor of Commercial English training program has the knowledge, professional skills, political qualities, professional ethics and good health to be able to work effectively in the international business environment and in other countries. Other professional fields require workers to have a high level of English proficiency. Graduates of the Commercial English program with professional competence and English language communication skills will be eligible to work for domestic or international businesses, economic and financial organizations. , agencies or representative offices, meeting the requirements of society and the economy in the process of international integration. Graduates can take up teaching English at various educational institutions after adding pedagogical knowledge and skills.

PROGRAM LEARNING OUTCOMES

1. Knowledge:

  • (Use/Apply) the general knowledge to serve the learning and research process of the English language industry
  • (Apply) advanced knowledge of languages, linguistics as well as knowledge of intercultural business communication
  • (Capture) the basic knowledge of economics, business and management necessary to serve the purpose of learning specialized English while giving learners a competitive advantage in job opportunities.
  • (Understand) theories of translation in the field of economics - commerce to apply in professional work
  • (Have) computer knowledge equivalent to IC3 level, make good use of specialized software and effectively exploit the Internet for study and professional work.
  • (Applying) practical knowledge of the training industry through the corporate semester and the internship report at the end of the course
  • (Self-planning) knowledge of planning, and organizing activities in a certain area
  • (Know) the basic knowledge of managing professional activities

2. Skills

  • Ability to use English communication skills for business-economics (listening-speaking-reading-writing) level C1 Common European Framework Reference (CEFR - Common European Framework Reference) equivalent to an international certificate BEC Higher and IELTS 7.0
  • Effective study skills, initially forming thinking and scientific research capacity on language issues and necessary skills to operate in international business and communication activities using use English

3. Degree of autonomy and responsibility

  • Able to work independently or in groups to complete assigned tasks in different working conditions.

CAREER DEVELOPMENT

Students can do graduate internships at business departments, import-export departments, logistics and marketing departments at English-speaking businesses and organizations; media companies, research institutes (language, economics, management...); editorial and translation departments at newspaper, magazine or television stations...
